Susan Finlay is the Founder and Executive Director of Nation At Prayer. A compelling vision from her daily Scripture reading in 2003 led to the founding of Nation At Prayer, now a national ministry with a global reach focused on spiritual refreshment and prayer with and for elected representatives and indigenous leaders. Prior to the vision that led to Nation At Prayer, Susan was a senior consultant in an international executive search corporation, having previously served as a human resources executive in the not-for-profit and government sectors. Susan began her career as a teacher with an innovative team transforming an inner-city school. Susan has served on the Boards of Tyndale University College and Seminary (now Tyndale University), World Vision Canada, an NGO doing development work among women in Afghanistan, and in Prayer Breakfast leadership roles. Frequent presenter and featured in various media including 100 Huntley Street, Susan is profiled in the book Faith, Life and Leadership: 8 Canadian Women Tell Their Stories - Volume 2. Recognized as transformational leaders, bridge builders and encouragers of others, Susan and Mel serve as mentors to leaders and ministries in Canada and around the globe. In recognition of their ministry to Senators, Members of Parliament, Indigenous leaders, and Elected Representatives across the nation Susan and Mel were each awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal in February 2025. |
